You are a little young. You should have hair on all parts of your face below your eye level (of course the nose is excluded :P and if you don't have much on the upper cheeks it's okay) before you begin growing it. If there are naked spots on your chin or under the jaw and the sides of the jawline, the result won't be a beard... Wait until the point when if you stay unshaved for a week, the stabble covers an area worthy of having a beard and then let it grooooooooow! (also be sure to shave your neck clean up to the point where the jaw makes the angle with your neck.)

Hey doc, are your sure your numbers are correct? According to a high altitude MD that I am friends with, it's 6-8 percent for ever thousand feet above sea level. Much worse. Not only is a great sunscreen essential but also great eye protection, sunglasses that are large are best. Take a look at any athletes here in the high country, and most of them, sadly, look far older than their real ages due to sun exposure.

Cheers, and thanks for spreading the word.

What do you think about aestheticians, practicing IPL treatments? I have an Advanced Diploma of Health of Science ( paramedical beauty therapy) and perform IPL hair removal, IPL Photorejuvenation, microdermabrasion and light superficial chemical peels. I was taught at a registered college by RN's and cosmetic doctors.. However I have seen plenty of spa staff that perform these treatments with a "3 day learning course"

(But while completeing the course, I was so engrossed with the Anatomy and Physiology that I am taking my first steps at getting into medicine :))

If you want great results, I suggest that you try MaximumLash. It is so economical and it has no side effects. Just great lashes, like mine.

My dermatologist diagnosed that I have nummular dyshidrotic dermatitis. She advised me to apply betasalic ointment at least twice a day. The blisters get dry but it just keeps getting back. I guess it's also hereditary because my grandpa has atopic dermatitis. It's really hard to avoid these foods. I started to make a journal of the food that i have eaten to determine what can aggravate the allergy. Now im trying to avoid food containg nickel like eggs and chocolates. I also try to avoid dairy products cause I have read an article that people with this kind of allergy should avoid that. I have also tried Dr. Kauffman Sulfur soap, at first it was ok but eventually it made it even worse.

[...] There is nothing inherently wrong with extending the field of medicine to include the state of beauty. Nor do I think it is problematic for the field of cosmetics and aesthetics to use medicine and surgery to accomplish its goals of making you more beautiful. But as a consumer, the burden is upon you to know what you are buying and from whom. [...]
