  1. My dark circles were caused by lack of sleep which was caused by low blood iron. Iron should be 70 at it’s lowest, mine was a SEVEN!

I did not know this, but some of the symptoms of low blood iron include not being able to get into a deep sleep – basically you get to REM and that’s about it, so if you’re having lots of nightmares, you could have low blood iron. And of course lack of sleep as the DD said equals dark under eye circles.

Also if you have thinning, brittle hair on your head, are irritable, and crave to chew ice, that’s also signs of low blood iron.

I’m now on an iron pill formulated special for women. Feel better, sleeping better, hair is growing back, don’t chew ice anymore, and my dark circles are disappearing!

  2. Unfortunately, deep tear troughs run in my family so I had dark circles under my eyes. I had Restylane injected into the periosteal space of the troughs. Looks really good, if I say so myself.

  3. First of all you need to identify the reason and find a possible solution for this problem. After that a beautician can help you out to fade these dark circles.

  4. It stands to reason that thickening that skin would make the blood vessels less visible. Is it OK to use retinoids in the area?
